Caprese Cake recipe | Torta Caprese image

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 Eggs
7 ounces Peeled Almonds or Almond Flour
5.2 ounces White Sugar
8.8 ounces Dark Chocolate
2.5 ounces Butter
.5 cup Milk
1 tablespoon Powdered Sugar

Steps:

  • Slowly melt the butter and chocolate in a double boiler.
  • Separate the yolks from the whites, beat the egg yolks with sugar.
  • Whip the egg whites.
  • Allow the chocolate and melted butter mix to cool.
  • Add minced almonds and milk to the beaten egg yolks and stir well.
  • Add chocolate and stir well.
  • Add whipped egg whites and stir slowly.
  • Pour the mixture into a low, wide baking pan, with waxed baking paper on it.
  • Level the mixture and bake it into the oven at 350 for about 40 minutes.
  • Let cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  • Serve with strawberries, vanilla ice cream, or whipped cream.
