Steps:
- Cook yams in boiling water in large saucepan 20 min. or just until tender; drain. Cool 10 min.
- Heat oven to 350ºF. Peel yams, then cut into 1/2-inch-thick slices; place in 13x9-inch pan sprayed with cooking spray.
- Melt butter in small skillet on medium heat; stir in brown sugar and water. Cook and stir 5 min. or until mixture comes to boil and sugar is completely dissolved. Pour over yams.
- Bake 45 min., occasionally basting yams with sugar mixture from bottom of pan. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake 15 min. or until nuts are lightly toasted.
