1 package backon
1 package Allessi thin breadsticks
1/2 cup brown sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Prep baking sheet(s): line with parchment paper then spray paper with cooking spray
  • Cut bacon strip in half the long way.
  • Use thin breadsticks (Allessi brand are the best) - break them into 4-6 inch pieces.
  • Roll raw bacon strip in brown sugar, coating it well.
  • Wrap bacon around breadstick.
  • Place on baking sheet.
  • Bake for 35 minutes, but check it after 25 minutes or so. If the brown sugar starts burning, shift the stick on the sheet so it is not resting burned sugar. If needed, take out of oven early.
  • Immediately move to wax paper sprayed with cooking spray to cool (and stiffen up).
  • Can be stored in frig for a couple days.
