An easy and fun recipe for camping or any time! This tastes so great made on the camp fire! But is also great cooked on your stove at home! We make this several times a year both indoor and out. Number Of Ingredients 8

2 lb ground beef
1 large onion (minced)
1 small green pepper (minced)
3 can(s) stewed tomatoes
3 can(s) beans: kidney beans, black beans and chili beans
1 tsp each: cumin powder, garlic powder (do nut use garlic salt!), salt and pepper
1 Tbsp chili powder
2 - 3 small cans tomato soup

Steps:

  • 1. In a Dutch oven: Fry the meat, pepper and onion. Drain off fat with a spoon or ladle. Add remaining ingredients. Stir together well.
  • 2. Cook over fire for 15 to 20 minutes longer. Or, you can set on several hot coals and put several on the lid of the Dutch Oven.
  • 3. Serve in a bowl made from a small round loaf of rustic bread....
  • 4. Or in a regular bowl.. it is good either way! *** The longer you cook it... the thicker it gets.
  • 5. *** Garnish with tortilla chips and cheese
