Steps:
- 1. Cut up the onions and salt pork and brown them a little in a kettle.
- 2. Add 2 cups boiling water and a cup of rice. Don't stir. Cook until soft about 20 to 30 minutes. ---------------------OR----------------------------- Put the pork, onions, rice, and water into a rice cooker and cook until done.
- 3. Be heating a half large can of tomatoes, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon celery seed, and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Add this to the cooked rice and sprinkle on grated cheese.
