I decided to try something new tonight and came up with this recipe. My family, including my two year old, loved it!!

Number Of Ingredients 8

8 - small boneless pork chops
2 - yellow onions, sliced in rings
2 tablespoon(s) olive oil, divided
6 tablespoon(s) yellow mustard
6 tablespoon(s) honey
1/2 teaspoon(s) cajun seasoning
1 1/2 cup(s) water
- salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Cut 2 yellow onions into rings. Melt 3 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan. Sauté onions until very soft. Put in a small bowl and keep to the side for later in the process.
  • Melt remaining butter and olive oil in same pan that onions were previously in. Add pork chops and brown. Add mustard and honey. Add Cajun seasoning as well as salt and pepper to taste. Add sautéed onions. Add water and cook until meat is tender and a gravy is formed, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes or with noodles or rice. We like ours best with mashed potatoes!
