Time 1h10m

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 c all purpose flour
3 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
3/4 c water
1/2 c butter, softened
1 1/2 c sugar
2 tsp cinnamon
3 c milk
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Mix flour, baking powder, water & salt in a medium size bowl. Roll dough out on a floured surface, to about 1/4 inch thickness. Dot top of dough with butter.
  • 2. Mix sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle 6 tablespoons sugar mixture over top of dough. Lift edge of dough and roll into 2 inch diameter (roll up like jelly roll). Coat bottom of a 9 X 13 X 2 inch dish with butter. Cut rolled dough into 3 inch lengths( will look like a cinnamon roll) and place in baking dish.
  • 3. Blend milk, vanilla & 4 tablespoons sugar-cinnamon mixture in a medium size sauce pan, and bring to a brisk boil. Sprinkle remaining sugar on top of dough. Dot with remaining butter. Pour boiling milk over dough. The rolled dough will rise to top. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
