Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease an 8X8X2 inch baking pan: set aside. 2. In medium saucepan, melt butter and unsweetened chocolate over low heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla. Using wooden spoon, lightly beat mixture just until combined (don't over beat or brownies will rise too high and then fall. Stir in flour. 3. Combine toffee pieces and semisweet chocolate pieces; set aside 1/4 cup of mixture to sprinkle over baked mixture. 4. Spread batter in prepared pan. Sprinkle remaining toffee-chocolate over top of batter. Bake for 30 minutes. Sprinkle evenly with reserved toffee-chocolate mixture. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars of triangles. Yield 16 brownies
