Steps:
- Bring water to a boil; let stand 2 minutes (water should be just below boiling point).
- Pour a small amount into a French press. Swirl once to warm carafe; discard.
- Put ground coffee in carafe. Pour in hot water. Stir once with a wooden spoon. Position plunger at top of carafe; let stand 4 minutes. Slowly push plunger down. Serve.
