Breakfast Casserole image

Great recipe when family comes in for holiday. Prepare the night before and bake in the morning.

Number Of Ingredients 8

6 slice bread
2 Tbsp butter
1 lb sausage
1-1/2 c cheddar cheese, shredded
6 eggs, beaten
2 c milk
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Remove crust from bread. Spread butter on bread and place bread in greased 13x9 casserole dish.
  • 2. Cook sausage until brown, drain, and then spoon over bread. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • 3. Combine eggs, milk, salt and pepper; mix well. Pour over ingredients in pan. Cover and refrigerate until morning.
  • 4. Remove from fridge 15 minutes before cooking. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
