Boursin Cheese image

An inexpensive version of the cheese available in grocery stores. This recipe is often a request for food day at work. For best results, make 3-4 days before serving. Press into a small pretty bowl or form into a cheese ball.

8 ounces cream cheese
6 tablespoons butter
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 teaspoons finely chopped scallions
2 teaspoons parsley
1/2 cup pecans, toasted

Steps:

  • Bring the cream cheese and butter to room temperature. Combine all, adding the garlic, onion and parsley. Press into a dish or using wax paper, shape into a ball. Refrigerate 3-4 days. If using the pecans, roll the ball of cheese in the pecans before serving.
