This recipe is absolutely delicious. This Granny Smith apple cobbler is made with cinnamon, Mexican vanilla and a hint of nutmeg. The perfect dessert for your fall dinner. Enjoy! Photo is my own and recipe is from a southern food magazine.

Steps:
- In a medium bowl, combine sliced apples, 3/4 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, cinnamon, nutmeg salt, vanilla and water.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Turn the mixture into a lightly buttered 9 inch square pan. Dot apples with 1 tablespoon butter.
- Now make the topping. Combine all topping ingredients in a small bowl. Beat with a wooden spoon until batter is smooth. Drop the batter in 9 equal portions, starting with the corners first. Batter will spread during baking.
- Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 375 degrees or until apples are tender and crust is a golden brown. Serve warm with cream or ice cream. Enjoy!
- Cook's Tip: About the sugar. I like it with 1/2 cup sugar; my husband likes 3/4 cup sugar. Best way to decide how much sugar suits your taste is to mix the pie filling and add the sugar 1/2 cup at a time until it tastes right to you. I have made it with 1/2 Splenda.
