BOLO PÃO DE MEL (QUADRADINHOS DE ESPECIARIAS) image

Yield 12 squares

2 cups milk
1 cups sugar
1 coffee spoon ground cinnamon
1/2 coffee spoon ground clover
1 teaspoon instant coffee
1 cup honey
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
Butter and flour to line pan
farinha para polvilhar
1 bitter sweet chocolate bar (200 grams)

Steps:

  • In a bowl mix the milk, sugar, cinnamon, clover, instant coffee and honey until well blended and set aside. Sieve the flour, baking powder and baking soda. Make a hole in the middle of the flour mixture and pour the liquid mixture. Mix well with a wooden spoon until well blended. Pour on a 22X35 or 26X40 buttered and floured cake pan Bake for 30 minutes at 180C, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Break the chocolate in pieces and put it on top of the hot cake. Wait until the chocolate is melted and spread with a spatula. Let cool and cut into squares.
