Blueberry Topping image

I have learn to alter this recipe for any fruit, we love the raspberry and also the peach. Can it when its in season

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 quart(s) water or flavor juice of what your canning
2 1/2 cup(s) sugar
1 1/2 cup(s) perma flo
5 quart(s) smashed blueberrys
1 teaspoon(s) salt

Steps:

  • Heat sugar, in 2 qts of juice until boiling.
  • Meanwhile, mix perma-flo and 1 qt of juice in a separate bowl.
  • Add perma-flo to boiled water or juice and last add 1 tsp salt and stir till the thickness you like.
  • Add the thickened sauce to 5 qts of smashed blueberrys.
  • Put into jars and cold pack them to seal, bring to boil, turn off heat and leave in hot water for 30 min. Makes 16 pints
