Steps:
- Spray a *10x15x1 inch sheet pan with nonstickspray.
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a large pan, bring 1 cup butter and water to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, 1 teaspoon almond extract, salt, and baking soda.
- Stir until smooth.
- Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 22 minutes or until the cake is golden brown.
- Cool for 20 minutes.
- For the frosting. Combine 1/2 cup butter and milk in a saucepan.
- Bring to a boil then remove from heat.
- Whisk in sugar and 1/2 teaspoon almond extract.
- Stir in pecans.
- Spread over warm cake.
- Serve the cake warm or cold.
- Store in an airtight container.
