BJ's Cream Cheese Pound Cake image

This is absolutely the best and easiest pound cake I have ever made. I usually make them 2 at a time. This recipe was given to me by a dear friend, BJ, who is now deceased. We have enjoyed this recipe for years...hope you do too!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 box duncan hines butter recipe cake mix
3/4 c sugar
4 large eggs
1/2 c oil
8 oz cream cheese, softened
2 Tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c water

Steps:

  • 1. Beat all ingredients well with electric mixer. Beat well about 2 minutes or until smooth.
  • 2. Pour batter into a bundt pan that has been greased and floured. I use butter and confectioner's sugar to prepare pan.
  • 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour until lightly browned. Cool in pan 10 minutes on rack. Then turn out onto cake plate and dust with confectioner's sugar.
