This is an excellent base for absolutely any cookie flavour you can dream of! In this recipe, I've featured both choc chip and white choc+macademia nut. Can freeze cookie dough (wrapped up in glad wrap) and bake it for later.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celcius.
- Beat butter and sugar till light and creamy.
- Add vanilla and egg.
- Add in dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt) till just combined.
- Fold in choc chips/nuts finally.
- At this stage, cookie dough may be rolled into a log and kept frozen;
- Otherwise, just place spoonfuls of cookie mixture on a greased baking tray, bake for 15 mins, till they turn pale gold.
- Allow cookies to cool for 5 minutes on tray before transfering them elsewhere, (if there're still any left by this time!).
