I GOT THIS RECIPE FROM MY (LITTLE SISTER) IONE SHE GOT IT FROM A FIREMAN SHE KNOW'S. AND WE ALL KNOW THEY ARE GOOD COOKS CAUSE THEY HAVE TO FEED A CROWD OF GUYS. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAMILIES FAVORITES YOU CAN REALLY USE ANY FRUIT YOU LIKE BUT WE LIKE STRAWBERRIES

2 1/2 c crushed graham crackers
1/2 c sugar
1 stick butter melted
8oz. pkg cream cheese, room temperature
2 c powdered sugar
12oz cool whip
1 qt frozen strawberries/thawed and drained or fresh
3 c milk plus 2 to 3 tablespoons
2small pkg vanilla instant pudding

Steps:

  • 1. preheat oven 350'
  • 2. In medium bowl combine crushed graham crackers and sugar add melted butter, mix well. Place mixture in 9x13 cake pan pressing to sides and bottom firmly .Bake 15 minutes cool on wire rack.
  • 3. While crust is cooling cream together the cream cheese ,powdered sugar and 2 to 3 tablespoons of milk then fold in 1/2 the tub of cool whip, spoon onto crust evenly chill 1 hour
  • 4. In the mean time cut in half the strawberries (you can use fresh or frozen) carefully lay fruit on chilled layer of cheese. Prepare pudding as directed using only 3 cups of milk and pour over fruit.Again chill till pudding is set, top with remaining cool whip and garnish with extra strawberries
