Belgian Hot Chocolate image

Lets talk about decadence shall we? Bittersweet thick and rich with a touch of cinnamon and some whipped cream that's decadence and I love each sip of it.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 quart(s) half-and-half or 1 quart whole milk
8 ounce(s) bittersweet chocolate
4 ounce(s) good quality milk chocolate, finely chopped
1 pinch(es) fine sea salt
1 teaspoon(s) ground cinnamon or to taste

Steps:

  • Warm about one-third of the half-and-half or milk, with the chopped chocolates and salt, stirring until the chocolate is melted.
  • Whisk in the remaining half-and-half or milk, heating until the mixture is warmed through. Add the cinnamon.
  • Use a hand-held blender, or a whisk, and mix the hot chocolate until it's completely smooth. Serve very warm. Enjoy!
  • NOTE: Make this more special served with whipped cream and chocolate curls.
