Beef Stroganoff I image

Stroganoff is a wonderful dish for guests; it is rich and creamy, but is simply and quickly prepared. Traditionally it is served with a rice pilaf, but is equally good over plain rice or egg noodles.

¼ cup butter
1 ½ pounds sirloin tip, cut into thin slices
1 onion, chopped
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream

Steps:

  • Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add beef and the onions; cook until the meat is browned and the onion tender.
  • Stir in sour cream, and heat through. Do not boil.
