1/2 lb bulk pork sausage
1/2 lb ground chuck
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 cup cheddar cheese
1/3 cup fine breadcrumbs
1/2 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Steps:

  • Mix sausage, chuck, egg, cheese, and bread crumbs. Shape into two dozen 1/2 balls.
  • In an ungreased skillet, brown balls slowly on all sides, about 15 minutes. Pour off excess fat.
  • Combine remaining ingredients and pour over meat.
  • Cover and simmer about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to coat meatballs.
