- Start out by slicing up the onions, leaving the biggest outside parts whole and ready to be stuffed with beef. Set those aside and mix the ground beef with diced onions, mushrooms, brown sugar, parsley and breadcrumbs. Add in all the condiments and mix it up together with your hands â donât forget a large mixing bowl or this is gonna get messy. Cover a hefty handful of meatball mixture with the larger onion slices, then wrap the whole thing in bacon. Bake these meat masterpieces in a dish at 425 °F for 40 minutes, then slather on some barbecue sauce and bake them for another five minutes or so. Youâll be left with the best meatballs ever imagined, perfect to share with your family and friends. Just make sure you make enough of them.
