Barbie® Cake image

Make your child's birthday special with a pretty Barbie® Cake! Top this Barbie® Cake with a real doll to make it look like it's wearing a beautiful dress.

1 pkg. (2-layer size) white cake mix
1 pkg. (3 oz.) JELL-O Fruit Punch Flavor Gelatin
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
1/4 cup suggested decorations (colored sugars, rainbow or pearl sprinkles)

Steps:

  • Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package for 12-cup fluted tube cake, blending dry gelatin mix into batter before pouring into prepared pan.
  • Cool cake in pan 10 min. Loosen cake from sides of pan with knife. Invert cake onto wire rack; gently remove pan. Cool cake completely.
  • Place cake, small side up, on plate. Wrap Barbie® Doll's hair, then body with separate sheets of plastic wrap; place bottom half of doll's body in center of cake. Frost cake and upper half of doll's body with COOL WHIP. Remove plastic wrap from doll's hair. Add decorations to cake and doll as desired.
