Baked Shrimp Toast image

I like this because it isn't greasy like the fried kind. Special thanks to my cousin Bob

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 spring onions
1 clove garlic
2 Tbsp water chestnuts
1 1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
2 dash(es) cayenne
1 dash(es) pepper
1/2 lb raw shrimp shelled
1 egg white
1 1/2 tsp sherry (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Pulse ingredients in food processor until mixed
  • 2. Add egg and sherry
  • 3. Pulse until egg white foams..about 5 seconds
  • 4. Add shrimp and pulse until pasty.
  • 5. Spread onto butter bread on both sides. Place onto a lightly greased pan. These will stick otherwise
  • 6. Bake 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Serve hot
