Baked Cinnamon Bread Custard image

Another very good recipe from my American Profile cookbook. Great to serve for overnight guests.

Number Of Ingredients 7

14 slice(s) cinnamon raisin bread, 1/2
6 - eggs
3 - egg yolks
1 cup(s) sugar
3 cup(s) milk
2 cup(s) half and half
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla

Steps:

  • Arrange bread in a double layer in a lightly greased 9 x 13" baking pan. (Cut bread as needed to cover bottom of pan). Whisk together eggs, egg yolks and sugar. Gradually add milk, half and half and vanilla. Pour mixture over bread. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 - 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Dust with powdered sugar while warm and serve.
