BACON CHEESEBURGER PASTA image

Number Of Ingredients 8

8 oz uncooked penne pasta
1 lb ground beef
6 bacon strips, diced (or pre-cooked bacon)
1-2 cans (10 3/4 oz) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 cup (4 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
1 onion, chopped
sugar (1/2 to 3/4 cup)
salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink. Salt and pepper the meat. Cook onion in meat until onion is translucent. Drain and set aside. In the same skillet, cook bacon until crisp, remove with a slotted spoon to paper towels (or use pre-cooked bacon). Discard drippings. Drain pasta; add to the skillet. Stir in the soup, beef, bacon; sugar; heat through. Remove from the heat and sprinkle with cheese. Cover and let stand for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
