Bacon & Cheese Stuffed Jalapenos image

This is a Texas staple -- one I always serve with barbecue. They go fast!

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 dozen jalapeno peppers
1 pkg 8-oz. pkg cream cheese
1/2 c sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/4 c real bacon bits (hormel brand) or you can fry up your own bacon and chop it

Steps:

  • 1. Using gloves, cut jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and scrape out seeds and white membrane.
  • 2. Mix together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese and bacon pieces thoroughly.
  • 3. Fill the peppers with the cream cheese mixture and bake at 350 degrees F. until lightly browned on edges of filling.
