1 pound(s) bulk sausage
1 large (or 2 small) apples, chopped
1/2 cup(s) chopped carrots
3 cup(s) already cooked long-grain rice
1/2 cup(s) dried cranberries (or raisins if you prefer)
1 tablespoon(s) dried parsley flakes
1 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon(s) allspice
1/2 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon(s) black pepper
1/3 cup(s) chicken broth or water

Steps:

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned.
  • Place sausage and remaining ingredients in slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 7 hours, or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours.
