AUNT JENNY'S BROWNIES image

Yield 16 brownies

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 cup butter
2 oz unsweetened chocolate
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Melt butter and chocolate together in double boiler. Cool. Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Beat eggs until light and fluffy. Add sugar. Add vanilla and flour mixture and mix well. Add chocolate mixture and nuts. Bake in greased and floured 8x8 inch pan at 350 degrees for 28-30 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.
