Apple-Plum Sauce image

A sweet twist on applesauce that tastes delicious and gives you plenty of fiber!

4 apples - peeled, cored, and sliced
2 plums - peeled, pitted, and cut into small chunks
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons apple juice, or more if needed
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon ground allspice

Steps:

  • Place apples, plums, butter, 2 tablespoons apple juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice in a skillet over medium heat. Cook, stirring and mashing frequently, until fruit is very tender, about 30 minutes.
  • Add more apple juice to achieve desired consistency.
