Apple Pie Ice Cream Topping image

Delicious! Serve as a topping over ice cream.

2 medium apples
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 tablespoons brown sugar
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Steps:

  • Peel apples and slice into 1/4-inch thick slices.
  • Melt butter in a saute pan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add apples and saute until apples are coated in sugar mixture.
  • Cover the pan and steam, stirring frequently, until apples are soft, about 10 minutes.
