Apple-Pear Green Smoothie image

This green smoothie makes the most of ripe fall fruit like apples and pears, and adds a nutritional boost from kale and flaxseed meal.

6 large kale leaves, stems removed
1 apple, quartered, stem and seeds discarded
1 pear, quartered, stem and seeds discarded
1 cup water
2 tablespoons flaxseed meal
1 small lemon, juiced
½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger

Steps:

  • Combine kale, apple, pear, water, flaxseed meal, lemon juice, and ginger in a blender and puree; add more water if needed.
