4 cups apples, cut up fine
2 cups flour
2 eggs
1/2 cup Crisco cooking oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup chopped nuts or 1 cup raisins (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla

Steps:

  • Mix all ckae ingredients well by hand.
  • Bake in a 9x13 inch greased and floured pan at 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
  • Topping:.
  • Mix well, topping ingredients and spread on cake.
