A galette is basically a free-formed one-crust pie. It can be a dessert, main dish, or appetizer. When you think of it that way, ANYTHING can be put into a galette! This is one that I came up with when I was thinking of making fried apples for dinner.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray.
- 2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- 3. In a bowl, place apple slices. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and brown sugar.
- 4. Toss and add to skillet.
- 5. Cook for 10 minutes and then stir in cranberries. Cranberries will pop when heated through.
- 6. Cook until liquid cooks down and apples are tender.
- 7. Unroll pie crust onto prepared pan. Spread so it makes an uneven circle.
- 8. Spoon prepared apples into the center of crust and fold in sides loosely and unevenly. You can sprinkle crust with granulated sugar if you'd like.
- 9. Bake in preheated for 12-15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and flaky.
