Apple Cake Recipe - (4.5/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 13

Glaze:
4 cups Jonathan apples, peeled and cut into about 1" chunks
1/2 cup oil
2 cups sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup walnuts, chopped
3 c powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2-3 T milk

Steps:

  • Mix apples and sugar, then add all the rest of the wet ingredients. Combine all dry ingredients and add to wet. Fold in walnuts and pour into a well greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes. When done baking cool on rack and take a knife and gently loosen the cake from the pan. Wait until it is cooled to invert on a plate. Make glaze and pour over cooled cake and let set.
