Amish Roasted Pork with orange sauce image

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon flour
2 teaspoons orange rinds
1 1/2 cups orange juice, fresh
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 tablespoon soy sauce
2 tablespoons horseradish mustard
5 lbs boneless pork roast
1 1/4 teaspoons thyme
1 1/4 teaspoons ground ginger
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1 1/4 teaspoons pepper

Steps:

  • in a sauce pan combine sugar cornstarch flour and orange rind and whisk til flour is disolvedadd orange juice water lemon juice soy sauce horseradish mustard whisk til combined 3 to 5 minutesplace the roast into shallow baking pan and tie the roast so it don't fall apart, (NO web stockings)in a small bowl combine equal parts of thyme, ground ginger, salt and pepper and rub on top and sides of roast. then pour sauce mixture over the roast and bake at 325 for 3 hoursSource: justapinch.com
