Number Of Ingredients 14

3 lbs beef stew, trimmed, cut into 1" chunks
1/2 c all purpose flour
4 tsp salt
1 10 1/2 oz can condensed beef broth
2 c dry red wine
4 medium carrots cut in 1" pieces
4 medium potatoes, quartered
1 20 oz bag frozen cut green beans (about 5 c)
1 1/2 lbs small white onions (about 18)
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 bay leaf
1 tsp + tarragon
1 tsp + thyme
1 tsp + marjoram

Steps:

  • About 6 hours before: Preheat oven to 250. In dutch oven toss meat, flour, and salt until meat is well coated. Stir in undiluted beef broth and remaining ingredients. Cover and bake 5-6 hours until meat and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
