Acadian Chicken Fricot image

I learned this when I married a Frenchman !!

Number Of Ingredients 9

4 medium boneless skinless chicken breast
2 c chopped onions
1/2 c summer savory
dash(es) salt and pepper to taste
4 c potatoes cut into bite sizes
4 c baby carrots cut into bite sizes
10 c water, as needed
1 box chicken broth
2 bunch stocks of celery

Steps:

  • 1. Cook boneless / skinless chicken breast in oven at 350 degrees for 30 min. Bring soup pot with water and chicken broth to a boil. Add carrots, onions and celery. Let cook for 10 min. and then add potatoes. Add summer savory, salt and pepper. When chicken is done, cut into bite size pieces and add to pot. Poke potatoes and carrots with a knife to see if they are done. Enjoy !!
