4th of July Deviled Eggs! image

This is a fun way to present your deviled eggs! We do these for different holidays and for Super Bowl parties! I have also done these for weddings in the brides colors... always a big hit and great conversation piece!

Number Of Ingredients 11

12 large eggs
1/2 cup(s) minced celery
1/2 cup(s) minced onion
1/4 cup(s) sweet pickle relish
1/3 cup(s) sour cream
1/4 cup(s) mayonnaise
1/4 cup(s) ranch dressing
1 tablespoon(s) mustard, spicy brown
2 teaspoon(s) yellow mustard
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt (or to taste)
1/2 teaspoon(s) ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Place 12 large eggs in a sauce pan. Cover the eggs with water. Bring water and eggs to a full rolling boil. Allow to boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Let sit for 5 minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water. Peel the eggs, rinse the eggs, pat dry the eggs.
  • Mix water and red food coloring together in a cup or bowl. Place one egg at a time into the colored water (color 4 eggs red). Leave set until the egg is the desired shade of color. Remove from colored liquid and gently "pat" dry... Do NOT rub! Do 4 eggs Blue. Leave 4 eggs all White.
  • Finely mince the celery and onion and put in bowl with the egg yolks. Using a fork, mash the veggies and egg yolks together. Add the remaining ingredients to the veggies and yolk mixture, stirring until well mixed.
  • Usining a teaspoon (or get fancy and use a decorator with a large star tip), and over fill each egg white half.
  • Refrigerate the deviled eggs until ready to serve. *** This is a fun recipe for the 4th of July... I dyed 4 eggs blue, 4 eggs red and left 4 eggs white. *** I also do this for other holidays and parties... Like for Super Bowl, I use the teams colors.... Easter... Muli colored...
