This recipe comes from 1963 Home Economics Teachers Desserts. It is super easy & very tasty... ENJOY!!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 c flour
1 c sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/2-1 stick butter (depending on richness desired)
1 (29oz) can(s) sliced peaches
2/3 c juice from peaches (add water to complete measure if necessary)

Steps:

  • 1. Combine flour, sugar, & baking powder. Add juice from peaches & mix. Melt butter in baking dish. Pour batter into baking dish. Place peach slices over batter. Bake at 350*F for about 45 minutes or until light golden brown.
  • 2. Optional**I take mine out after 30 minutes of baking time & run a stick of butter over the top a few times; then sprinkle a mixture of sugar, brown sugar, & cinnamon over the top. Place back in the oven for the remaining 15 minutes of baking time.**

I've noticed a lot of recipes for peach cobbler lately and decided to post our quickie cobbler. You can actually use any canned fruit you like but we use peaches.

2 can(s) refrigerated biscuits
1 or 2 can(s) peaches
brown sugar
cinnamon
butter

Steps:

  • 1. spray cake pan with cooking spray.
  • 2. place biscuits in a cake pan, pour canned fruit over them, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon dot with butter, bake at temperature and time on biscuit can, add a little more time if needed.

PEACH COBBLER--"A QUICKIE DESSERT"



Peach Cobbler--

Make it as Peach or your favorite fruit pie filling. This is quick and fun to make for the beginner baker. I'm thinking Strawberry next time!

  • Combine first four ingredients.
  • Melt butter in pan.
  • Pour in batter, then peach pie filling on top.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

2 Tbsp melted butter
1/2 cup water

Steps:

  • Spread fruit in bottom of a 9x13 baking dish.
  • Mix all of the other ingredients together and spread over the fruit.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F until brown.
