Easy weeknight desert can be cooked while eating dinner. You can double the fruit, but it may take more time to cook. Also good to add cinnamon &/or nutmeg to the batter, depending on your taste.

1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1 (12 ounce) package frozen mixed berries (or other frozen fruit such as peaches)

Steps:

  • In medium baking dish, melt butter. Add frozen fruit.
  • Mix together remaining ingredients and pour over fruit. Do not stir.
  • Bake at 375*F for 30-45 minutes until cake is done.

1 can (21 ounces) cherry, peach, blueberry or other fruit pie filling
1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened

Steps:

  • Spread pie filling in ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Place in cold oven. Heat oven to 400°F; let heat 10 minutes. Remove pan from oven.
  • While pie filling is heating, stir remaining ingredients until soft dough forms. Drop by 6 spoonfuls onto warm pie filling. Sprinkle with additional sugar if desired.
  • Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until topping is light brown.

1/4 lb (1 stick) butter or margaringe
1 c flour
1 c sugar
2/3 c milk
2 c fruit or fruit juice

Steps:

  • 1. melt butter in baking dish
  • 2. mix all other ingredients except fruit , mix till you have a smooth batter. pour over butter, (DO NOT STIR) add fruit or fruit juice. (DO NOT STIR) place in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
