Whether served warm or cold, this moist garlicky loaf from Sue Dodd of Friendsville, Tennessee is a terrific way to round out a meal. "Leftover slices also make good salad croutons," she says. "Just cube them and brown them in a little butter in a skillet."

QUICK FIX CHEESY GARLIC BREAD
I usually always make garlic bread when ever I make spaghetti. This is my quick fix way to make it. It is simple easy, tasty and crusty, and my husband loves it this way. Sometimes I make it even cheesier by adding finely grated Italian Cheese Blend or parmesan cheese on top. I use to buy the cheap boxes of Mac & Cheese just to get the grated cheese out to use to make the bread. Then I found that I could buy the huge size you see in the picture from Amazon, and that is what I use now. It is great on Pop Corn Potatoes, and the possibilities are limited only by your imagination. Try it.

Steps:
- Using a serrated knife cut the Vienna bread in half length wise. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES F.
- Gourmet Cheddar Cheese Powder that I love to use on garlic bread, popcorn , mac & cheese, and any thing else that needs a cheddar pick me up.
- These are the other main ingredients I use to make the bread. PLEASE NOTE THE BADIA GRANULATED GARLIC is so strong that 1/4 teaspoon is equivalent to 1 clove of garlic, other varieties are less potent, or you can always use real cloves minced if desired.
- Combine all of the needed ingredients in a medium size bowl and stir to blend together. I often use CAN BELEIVE IT'S NOT BUTTER when I make this bread, but for the sake of measurement, I used butter because it was easier to measure the amount used to let you know.
- Divide in half and spread half of mixture on each piece of bread.
- Now sprinkle 2 tablespoons of grated parmesan on each piece of bread.
- Repeat with the gourmet Cheddar cheese powder. Cut bread into serving size pieces if desired or leave whole. I prefer cutting so the edges get crispy and crusty. Sprinkle with additional parmesan, or freshly shredded Italian Cheese and chopped chive if desired.
- Place in preheated 350 degrees F. oven and bake till butter is melted into bread, and bread is crusty and hot. about 15 minutes. Mine was baked in the microwave, because my microwave does oven bake as well as microwave, hence the round platter.
- Serve with a nice Spaghetti Dinner.
- Add a tossed salad to make sure you eat your veggies. smile

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Cut off the top third of the head of garlic, exposing the tops of the garlic cloves. Put the garlic on a piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of the oil. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper and add the thyme sprigs. Wrap tightly with foil and roast until the cloves are golden brown and very soft, about 45 minutes.
- Unwrap the garlic and let stand until cool enough to handle. Pour any garlic-flavored oil from the foil pouch into a small bowl; squeeze the roasted cloves into the same bowl, discarding the papery shells. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil, the chopped thyme and an additional 1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper and mash with a fork until smooth.
- Lay the bottom half of the bread on a piece of aluminum foil that is long enough to wrap the bread. Spread on half of the roasted garlic mixture and top with half of the Parmesan. Repeat with the remaining bread, garlic mixture and Parmesan. Press the halves together so the fillings are on the inside and wrap with the foil.
- Bake until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted, about 15 minutes. Separate the halves, sprinkle with chopped parsley and cut into 6 pieces.

GARLIC CHEESE QUICK BREAD
Found this recipe in Taste of Home when looking for a fast bread to serve with dinner. My husband thought it tasted kinda sweet, and I was expecting it to taste the garlic more, but we both thought it was good. As with most quick breads I think this tastes better after it cools, however it does not stay fresh for more than a day or two so eat it quick! The original recipe called for self rising flour, which I never have on hand, so I just used regular flour and added the baking powder and salt...so it can be made using self rising flour--just don't add the baking powder and salt.
