My family loves this recipe. My kids love it because the broccoli is 'hidden' under all the chicken and cheese! This is an excellent way to use up leftovers.

2 (10 ounce) packages frozen chopped broccoli
2 cooked boneless chicken breast halves, chopped
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
½ cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place broccoli in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with the chicken.
  • In a small bowl, blend the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, mayonnaise, and lemon juice. Pour the mixture over the chicken. Top with Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, until bubbly and lightly browned.

1 (16 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
3 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into bite-size pieces
2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons cooking sherry
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 cup bread crumbs
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
3 tablespoons melted butter
4 cups hot cooked white rice, or as needed

Steps:

  • Put frozen broccoli in a microwave-safe bowl; cook in microwave until hot, about 4 minutes. Transfer broccoli to a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir chicken in hot oil until no longer pink in the middle, 5 to 7 minutes. Top broccoli with chicken pieces evenly.
  • Stir chicken soup, mayonnaise, sherry, and lemon juice together in a bowl until smooth; pour over the chicken and broccoli.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  • Mix bread crumbs, Cheddar cheese, and melted butter together in a small bowl; sprinkle evenly over the dish.
  • Continue baking until the topping is browned, about 10 minutes. Serve over rice.

I know there are a lot of chicken Divan recipes out there, but I thought I should post this for new cooks due to the fact that it is incredibly easy. This makes a very nice cheese sauce and it's good for you. Enjoy.

10 ounces broccoli or 10 ounces asparagus
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1/3 cup milk
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Steps:

  • Cut chicken into 1 inch strips about 1/2 inch thick. Spray a non-stick skillet with non-stick cooking spray. Cook chicken until just done.
  • Cook the asparagus or broccoli spears in a small amount of boiling water in a medium sauce pan; drain.
  • Arrange asparagus or broccoli spears in a 1 1/2 quart shallow baking dish, 10x6x2.
  • Top with cooked chicken.
  • Blend soup, cayenne pepper if desired, and milk in a saucepan. Cook over medium-low heat 10 minutes. Stir in the cheese.
  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • Pour soup mixture over chicken.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until hot.
  • Serve over cooked rice if desired.

1 Pkg frozen cut broccoli
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup mayo
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 oz. (1/2 c.) shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
2 tablespoons of melted butter

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees Grease 12 X 8-in (2 quart) baking dish. Cook broccoli as directed on package; drain. Arrange broccoli in greased baking dish. Layer chicken over broccoli. In small bowl, combine soup, mayonnaise and lemon juice, mix well. Spread over chicken. Sprinkle with cheese. In small bowl, combine bread crumbs and butter, sprinkle over top. Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
