PORK CHOP AND POTATO CASSEROLE
My family loves this recipe. It is easy and delicious. Pork chops are browned, then baked in a creamy mushroom sauce with potatoes, onion and cheese.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high-heat. Place the pork chops in the oil, and sear.
- In a medium bowl, combine the soup and the milk. Arrange the potatoes and onions in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place the browned chops over the potatoes and onions, then pour the soup mixture over all.
- Bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Top with the cheese, and bake for 30 more minutes.

- 1. Peel potatoes.
- 2. Cut into round slices.
- 3. Layer bottom of a large casserole dish with potatoes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- 4. Coat pork chops with flour.
- 5. Heat oil in large skillet and brown pork chops on each side.
- 6. Arrange pork chops on top of potatoes.
- 7. Heat soup with water.
- 8. Pour over pork chops and potatoes.
- 9. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.

- Mix salt, pepper and flour together in a bowl; set aside.
- Brown the pork chops in oil until just brown on both sides (do not cook through) and place them in the bottom of 9x13 inch casserole dish.
- Place a layer of raw sliced potatoes on top of chops.
- Sprinkle 1/2 of the flour mixture over top.
- Add another layer of potatoes.
- Sprinkle remaining flour mixture over top.
- Pour the hot milk and melted butter over the potatoes.
- Bake at 350°F for one hour.

- Combine soup, milk, sour cream, pepper, remaining seasoned salt, and hot sauce.

- In a small saucepan, melt butter; stir in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Add broth. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. - Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with 1 tablespoon butter.
- Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat. Season pork chops with salt and pepper; cook in skillet until browned, 3 to 5 minutes per side.
- Melt remaining 3 tablespoons butter in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir mustard and thyme into the butter; season with salt and pepper. Whisk flour into the butter mixture to make a thick paste. Slowly whisk chicken broth and half-and-half into the paste mixture until smooth.
