1/3 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups cubed seedless watermelon
2 cups fresh strawberries, halved
2 cups ice cubes

Steps:

  • Place first 4 ingredients in a blender; cover and process until smooth. Add ice; process, covered, until slushy. Serve immediately.

1/2 cup sugar
1 package (3 ounces) strawberry gelatin
2 cups boiling water
1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1 can (12 ounces) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 can (12 ounces) frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
2 cups cold water
2 liters lemon-lime soda, chilled

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve sugar and gelatin in boiling water. In a blender, combine pineapple juice and strawberries; cover and process until blended. Add to gelatin mixture. Stir in concentrates and cold water. Cover and freeze for 8 hours or overnight. , Remove from the freezer 45 minutes before serving. For each serving, combine 1/2 cup slush mixture with 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda; stir well.

9 cups water
5 cups sugar
4 (3 ounce) packages jell-o strawberry gelatin
2 (46 ounce) cans pineapple juice
1 (15 ounce) bottle lemon juice
2 (2 liter) bottles ginger ale, chilled

Steps:

  • In large pot, bring water, sugar, and gelatin to boiling; stirring to dissolve sugar and gelatin.
  • Chill about 1 hour or until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in pineapple juice and lemon juice.
  • Divide mixture among 8 quart size resealable plastic freezer bags. Seal bags and freeze until firm.
  • To serve, let bags of juice mixture stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  • Empty bags into large punch bowl.
  • Add ginger ale.
  • Break up mixture with spoon until it is a slushy consistency.
  • Serve immediately.

This is an old BH&G recipe, I've posted it as written but I adapted it slightly when I made it, I used about 3/4 punnet stawbs & added the pineapple to the blender too. This is lovely & refreshing, perfect to quench your thirst on a hot day.

500 g strawberries, hulled
800 g pineapple chunks, drained
lemonade
vodka (optional)

Steps:

  • Freeze fruit for approx 1 hour.
  • Blend watermelon & strawberries in a food processor until smooth.
  • Spoon pineapple into a glass, top with fruit slush and add lemonade & vodka if using.

1 small watermelon
225g punnet of ripe strawberries , tops cut off
juice of 2 limes

Steps:

  • The day or morning before you want to drink the slushie cut the watermelon into chunks and remove the skin and seeds. Place half the watermelon wedges into a large freezable bag then pop in the freezer for a few hours.
  • Once frozen, blitz the frozen watermelon with the rest of the watermelon, strawberries and lime juice until smooth and slushy. Pour into glasses and sip through a straw.
