TUNA PASTA SALAD WITH PESTO
This Tuna Pasta Salad With Pesto is an easy, healthy make-ahead lunch idea. It's made with protein-packed canned tuna and a dairy-free hemp seed pesto. Simple, delicious, and ready in 30 minutes!

Steps:
- Bring pasta water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions.
- While the pasta cooks, halve cherry tomatoes and set aside. Drain canned tuna and flake with a fork.
- Next, prepare your the hemp seed pesto. Add all pesto ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until smooth.
- Once pasta is done, drain it and place in a large bowl. Stir in hemp seed pesto, canned tuna, and cherry tomatoes until everything is well-combined.
- Adjust seasonings as desired. Pasta salad can be enjoyed warm or chilled!
PESTO TUNA PASTA SALAD
I am always looking for recipes that my boyfriend, Bill, can take to work for his lunch. I like to make sure they include both some protein and carbs, since he does heavy physical labor and needs to be appropriately refueled. I came up with this recipe, which met those requirements, and it tastes great, too! It's simple, quick, and travels well.

- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- While pasta cooks, mix tuna, pesto, pepper, mayonnaise, cheese, olives, and lemon juice in a large bowl.
- When pasta is cooked, drain and rinse with cold water.
- Add pasta to tuna mixture and mix well.
- Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.
PESTO TUNA
I had tuna, but none of the usual ingredients I mix in. I found pesto in the back of the fridge. It's unusual I know, but we really liked the flavour combination, even my husband who hates trying new things :-) Note: the cook time is for refrigeration.

- Make sure the tuna is as well drained as possible, I squeeze mine in a sieve.
- Mix with pesto and pepper to taste.
- If you want a more"spreadable" consistency, mix in the mayonnaise.
- A little lemon juice adds some zing if you like a more tangy flavour.
- Refrigerate for at least 20minutes to allow flavours to meld.
- Serve either as a sandwich or on crackers.
