CRISPY CHOCOLATE DIPPERS



Crispy Chocolate Dippers image

1 cup chocolate melting wafers or chocolate almond bark
2 heaping tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread, such as Nutella
1/2 cup very finely chopped mixed nuts (should include almonds)
15 to 20 snacks for dipping, such as very thin, plain Italian breadsticks, big pretzels, saltines or butter crackers
Topping suggestions: chopped almonds, chocolate chips, crushed mints and sprinkles

Steps:

  • Melt the chocolate wafers with the chocolate hazelnut-spread in a microwave or double boiler and stir together. Add the nuts and stir.
  • Break the breadsticks in half and dip the halves in the chocolate-nut mixture. Dip the other dippers--pretzels, saltines and crackers--to coat. Lay on waxed paper and sprinkle with chopped almonds, chocolate chips, crushed mints and/or sprinkles. Allow to set before serving.

  • In a microwave, melt chocolate chips; stir until smooth. Stir in 1/2 cup whipped topping, cinnamon and extract; cool for 5 minutes. , Fold in remaining whipped topping. Serve with fruit. Refrigerate leftovers.

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
4 semi-sweet chocolate baking squares, melted
1/2 cup roasted peanuts, finely chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 325*F. Mix peanut butter, sugar and egg until well blended. Refrigerate 30 minutes. Roll peanut butter mixture into 18 balls. Place 2" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten each ball, in a criss cross pattern with a fork.
  • Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 5 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet to a wire rack; cool completely.
  • Dip each end of the cookie into melted chocolate, shakinig off the excess. Now dip into chopped peanuts. Place cookies on wax paper(or parchment) which has been placed on the cookie sheet. Refrigerate until chocolate hardens. Enjoy!
  • Note:.
  • To melt chocolate using microwave, heat in a microwavable bowl on high 2 minutes or until chocolate is almost melted, stirring after 1 minute. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

2 cups graham cracker crumbs
⅔ cup chopped peanuts
½ cup butter, melted
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
⅓ cup peanut butter
1 cup confectioners' sugar
1 (16 ounce) package frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 (3.9 ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
2 ½ cups skim milk
⅔ cup peanuts
¼ cup grated semisweet chocolate

Steps:

  • Mix together graham cracker crumbs, chopped peanuts, and melted butter or margarine. Press into the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool.
  • Mix together cream cheese, peanut butter, and confectioners' sugar until creamy. Fold in half of the nondairy whipped topping.
  • In another bowl, combine pudding mixes with the skim milk.
  • Spread the peanut butter mixture over the cooled crust. Spoon pudding over peanut butter layer, and spread remainder of the cool whip over pudding. Sprinkle with cocktail peanuts, and grated chocolate. Refrigerate overnight.
