½ cup butter, softened
½ cup white sugar
½ cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
⅓ cup peanut butter
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup confectioners' sugar
¼ cup peanut butter
3 tablespoons milk

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg, 1/3 cup peanut butter and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into the peanut butter mixture. Finally, mix in the rolled oats. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are firm. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips in a single layer over the top. Let stand for 5 minutes, then spread to cover. Allow to cool. In a small bowl, mix together the confectioners' sugar, 1/4 cup peanut butter until smooth. Stir in milk one tablespoon at a time until a drizzling consistency is reached. Drizzle over bars when cool. Cut into bars.

Water, vegetable oil and egg called for on brownie mix box
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped redskin Spanish peanuts

3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). Grease bottom of 9-inch square pan with shortening or cooking spray. Make brownie batter as directed on box. Stir in chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of the peanuts. Spread in pan.
  • Bake 28 to 31 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side of pan comes out almost clean. Cool completely on cooling rack, about 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • In medium microwavable bowl, stir frosting and peanut butter until blended. Microwave frosting mixture uncovered on High 20 to 30 seconds or until mixture is warmed and pourable. Pour over baked brownie; spread over top. Sprinkle remaining peanuts on top. Let stand about 1 hour or until set.
  • Cut into 4 rows by 4 rows. Store covered in airtight container.

1 cup best-quality unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tablespoon coarse salt
4 sticks softened unsalted butter, plus more for pans
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
9 large, room-temperature eggs
1/4 cup peanut butter
5 to 6 tablespoons milk

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Butter two 5-by-9-inch loaf pans. Combine all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • Cream butter and sugar with a mixer on high speed until pale and fluffy, for 8 minutes. Scrape down sides of bowl. Reduce speed to medium, and add vanilla extract.
  • Lightly beat eggs, and add to mixer bowl in 4 additions, mixing thoroughly after each and scraping down sides. Reduce speed to low, and add flour mixture in 4 additions, mixing until just incorporated. Divide batter between pans. Tap on counter to distribute; smooth tops.
  • Bake until a tester inserted into center of each cake comes out clean, about 65 minutes. Let cool in pans on a wire rack for 30 minutes. Remove from pans, and let cool completely on wire rack.
  • Make peanut butter glaze: Warm peanut butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add milk, and stir until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cakes.

1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup whipping cream

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly spray 10-inch fluted tube pan with cooking spray; set aside. In bowl stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • In large mixing bowl beat butter with an electric mixer on low to medium speed 30 seconds. Add sugar; beat until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating on low to medium speed 1 minute after each addition and scraping bowl frequently. Beat in sour cream and vanilla.
