PEANUT BUTTER AND MIRACLE WHIP SANDWICH

Peanut Butter and Miracle Whip Sandwich image

This is something I used to eat a couple times a week as a kid. Then we used to call Miracle Whip "mayonnaise" (we never liked real mayo.) But now I use the real name since I love real mayo for other things and the 2 could never be confused.

BETTER PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICH

Better Peanut Butter Sandwich image

This is a great version of your basic peanut butter sandwich! Applesauce is used in place of jelly. Kids love it, and it has less sugar than regular jelly so it is much better for you.

PEANUT BUTTER AND PICKLE SANDWICH

Peanut Butter and Pickle Sandwich image

This sandwich does not necessarily need a recipe, given its simplicity. But it's an unlikely pairing, is peanut butter and pickle, and sometimes that is what a recipe is for -- to prod you in a direction that you never considered. Dwight Garner, a book critic for The Times, makes a strong case for this, his favorite sandwich, calling it "a thrifty and unacknowledged American classic." The vinegary snap of the pickles tempers the unctuousness of the peanut butter, and it's an unusual pantry sandwich for when luncheon meats leave you cold.

PB & B SANDWICH

I heard about this sandwich on a game show years ago. They asked the celebrities their favorite sandwich, this one was Betty White's. It's not your everyday peanut butter sandwich, but I've been eating them ever since.

ZIPPY SANDWICH SPREAD

Zippy Sandwich Spread image

My boyfriend loves miracle whip and loves mustard, so I came up with this recipe to compliment his sandwiches at work. This works great on everything. We first had it with toasted chicken club sandwiches, but the possibilities are endless. We even use it as a spicy chip dip for veggies or potato chips! Use light Miracle Whip and no-fat sour cream to make this a guilt free spread!
