1 large egg
1 tablespoon water
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 round (8 ounces) Brie cheese or Brie cheese with herbs
1/4 cup canola oil
Assorted crackers and/or fresh fruit

Steps:

  • In a shallow bowl, combine egg and water. In another bowl, combine bread crumbs and Parmesan cheese. Dip Brie in egg mixture, turning to coat all sides; coat with crumb mixture. Repeat. , In a small skillet, cook Brie in oil over medium heat until golden brown, about 2 minutes on each side. Serve with crackers and/or fresh fruit.

1 tbsp water
1/2 cup italian seasoned breadcrumbs
1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
1 (15 oz) mini Brie with herbs
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Garnish: Fresh rosemary sprigs.

Steps:

  • Combine egg and water in a shallow dish and set aside. Combine bread crumbs and cheese in a shallow dish and set aside. Dip Brie in egg mixture, turning to coat all sides. Place in breadcrumb mixture, turning to coat all sides. Repite procedure. Chill at least 1 hour. Cook Brie in hot oil in a heavy skillet over medium heat 2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Garnish if desired. Serve with sliced bread (french) or crackers.
